Teen sexuality in America pt.1

When ever we meet someone there’s always those very obvious traits and features that allows the brain to separate and distinguish our idea of the usual look of a “Boy” from “Girl”. And when filling out any application and they ask you to identify your gender it is often an easy and simple answer, Male or Female. Or is it?

Over the past couple of decades we as an American society and as a human race has come so far in becoming comfortable with the diverse human sexuality. As this happens peoples views of religion and personal opinions start to change and become very diverse. It seems like every day people are bending the rule to human sexuality. And scientifically we come in terms with what sexual orientation we identify or feel ourselves heading towards when we are teenagers and reach the age of puberty.

Teens in America today are more likely to go on a sexuality exploration. They’ve been taught about “sex ed” since middle school all the way up to highschool and live in a country were sexuality is glamorize 24/7. broadening their sense of sexuality. To be GLBT, is no longer a taboo but becoming a type of “trend“.

I am 16 years old and more and more friends that ive  known and grown up with are identifying themselves as something other than straight. Some even thinking of becoming transgendered.  I am happy about the ever evolving world, but some times i feel like its making teens become more promiscuous and a little to carefree with the idea of sex. Media, Movies, advertisements and some parents lack of talking to their children about sex and sexuality a lot of teens are becoming more ignorant and less educated and arent protecting themselves again std’s, bad reputation, and predators.
