Jan and Marcia Brady’s ‘lesbian feud’ spikes ‘Brady Bunch’ reunion, report says
March 1, 2010
Eve Plumb and Maureen McCormick are still not getting along.
The actresses who played Jan and Marcia Brady on the iconic sitcom “The Brady Bunch” have been feuding ever since McCormick alluded to a lesbian relationship while promoting her autobiography “Here’s the Story” last year.
Susan Olsen, who played their little sister Cindy, told Fox411’s Pop Tarts column that she understands why Plumb would be angry.
“I don’t like there to be a rift in the family. I love them both and this means whenever we get together for any project there will only be one or the other. But I do understand Eve’s point of view,” Olsen said in November. “She got tired of Maureen gaining attention for herself by regurgitating the tiresome and false insinuations that they had a lesbian affair.”
THEN/NOW: Catch up with the entire cast of “The Brady Bunch.”
Indeed RadarOnline.com is reporting that a televised Brady reunion scheduled on a network morning show was canceled this week because Plumb refuses to be in the same room with her former co-star.
“Everyone tells a slightly different story of what happened,” the Web site quoted a source as saying. “But the bottom line is that they didn’t want to be on the same show and the appearance was canceled because of it.”
The source said that “some people blame Maureen and some people blame Eve.”
McCormick told Pop Tarts last year that she hoped the two could bury the hatchet some day.
“It’s such a drag because I loved her,” McCormick said. “I hope we can work it out.”
It looks like some fence-mending is still in the offing.
