For those of you with some free time on Saturday night, let me tell you about a fun little event that’ll be going on.
The Out Club, a GLBTQ support group at UAA, will be co-hosting a Broadway-themed Drag Show with some of the beloved performers from Mad Myrna’s. This is going to be one of the main fundraiser’s for the Out Club, so I urge you to go support a dedicated group of students and bring a few friends with you. Admission is only $5, which isn’t too costly for the enticing spectacle to be viewed.
The Out Club is a recent re-incarnation of the Family, and they are geared toward not only providing fun activities for their members, but also in providing support in a community that can be hostile. This sounds like it’s going to be a pretty fun show, so please consider putting in an appearance. The Anchorage community needs all the support it can get right now.
