A message from the Lambda Alliance at UC Merced:
Hello loyal members!
Sorry for the lack of meeting last week, I know you were all lost without Lambda on a Friday night, but don’t fret, it was worth it! There are so many projects that we are already planning on, and we will need you to power them so please come to this Friday’s meeting if you want to get on the ball about this.
A few of the new and exciting things you can expect from Lambda in the very near future are:
A Speaker’s Panel;
Creating a coalition with people of faith that will push back the lgbt hostility in religious organizations;
Kickball tournament against the SAFE Club from Merced College,
Megan Wingo is putting together an even better Faces of Us project and she wants 500 people this year so bring your pretty faces and support;
And a series of workshops and “lectures” regurgitating all the information we learned (Bible Boot Camp,non-monosexual caucus, Genetic/Biological aspects vs. Queer theory, Practice in writing Queer Erotica, etc.)
As always, general meeting are in COB 288 at 7 pm, but if you want to see us conduct business or just want to hang out with us more, you can come to the officers meeting just before it at 6pm in the same room.
