You can get an application online at www.csufresno.edu/leadership or at the USU Information Center or in the Student Involvement Center in USU 306. For more information call 278-2741.

Opportunities:  There are five opportunities for you to Get Involved, use your voice, flex your leadership muscles, and make a difference at Fresno State in the 2010-11 academic year!

These opportunities include:

UNIVERSITY STUDENT UNION BOARD OF DIRECTORS: 3 floors, 2 million dollars, 1 amazing experience!

The USU Board of Directors is the voice of the students when it comes to making decisions for the Student Union Facility and Satellite Student Union. 12-15 students are needed to help make tough decisions in areas like the annual two million dollar operating budget, art and marketing, personnel, and planning and operations. Serve on a professional board with faculty and administrators from across campus and help to meet the needs of Fresno State students.

VINTAGE DAYS: Join the Tradition, Join the Fun!

Vintage Days is Fresno State’s largest student-planned celebration which attracts over 60,000 people from Fresno and the surrounding communities to campus. The annual spring event combines numerous social, cultural, and recreational activities into a series of coordinated programs over an extended weekend.  Vintage Days is currently looking for students to plan Vintage Days 2011.   Student Coordinators are needed to organize events and activities including:  Food & Game Booths, Casino Night, Live Entertainment, Crafts Faire, Kid’s Zone,   Golden State Strongman Challenge, and much more.

LEADERSHIP: Learn, Empower, Achieve, Discover

The Leadership Council provides leadership outreach and peer education by presenting interactive workshops and presentations to campus groups, as well as offering a free Emerging Leaders Program which includes a retreat each semester. Students that serve on the council will increase their own knowledge of topics relating to leadership and will pass along that knowledge to other members of the campus community by facilitating workshops and other activities. Oh yeah – and it’s FUN!

USU PRODUCTIONS: Events for students, by students.

USU Productions does it all; movies, bands, day trips, comedians, homecoming, and much more…because college isn’t just about taking classes. USU Productions is a non-profit, student-based programming entity that provides diverse educational activities, entertainment, social interaction, and leadership opportunities which compliment the classroom experience. USU Productions is one of the most active groups on campus consisting of ten committees that strive to develop entertaining and enriching programs throughout the year.
